“Wee” as she was known, Ms. Cassandra Mae Amerison, of Colquitt, GA died on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Southeast Hospital in Dothan, AL. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM, at Sheffield Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Tony Mock officiating. Interment will follow in the Colquitt City Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour before the service, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Colquitt Funeral Home.
Ms. Amerison was a Baptist by faith. Casandra never met a stranger. She loved everybody and would talk to anybody that would listen. She never complained. She loved family and friends. Her whole life was a struggle for her but the last 5 years she fought a hard fight from COVID, leaving her bedridden and on a ventilator and many other tubes. She is free now as one of God's Angels.
She is survived by her father, Marvin Amersion of Colquitt, GA; two sisters, Melanie Morales and Melissa Amerison, both of Colquitt, GA; three nephews, Kane, Brandon, and Logan Morales; one niece, Ashlynn Chambless; four great-nephews, Brandon Kole, Koleton Morales, Phillip Morales, and Bradley Monroe Johnson; Aunts and Uncles, Randall (Denise) Amerison of Jakin, GA, Steve Amerison of Iron City, GA, Elaine (Royce) Pickren of Donalsonville, GA, Angie Williams of Colquitt, GA, James Williams of Colquitt, GA, Norma (Billy) Durham of Tallahassee, FL, and Margaret Williams Linton of Sneads, FL; one great-niece, Alice Johnson; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Karen Williams, and one sister, Kristy Karen Amerison.
