Mr. Clarence Edward "Ed" Moore of Colquitt died Tuesday, March 30, 2026, at his residence. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Olive Holiness Church with Rev. Jonathan Prickett officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at the church.
Ed was born December 18, 1944, in Coshocton, Ohio, the son of Clarence and Annabelle Moore. He was a graduate of West Lafayette High School and graduated from college in St. Louis, Missouri. He was known as a jack of all trades and also loved hunting and fishing. He was a welder and had retired from Conesville Power Plant in Conesville, Ohio, and was also a welder for and retired from JEA Power Plant in Jacksonville, FL.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sherry White Moore of Colquitt, GA; one daughter, Tracey Moore (Tony) Griffin of Climax, GA; two sons, Eddie (Candy) Moore and Nicolas Moore, both of Colquitt, GA; eight grandchildren, Austin (Ellie) Griffin, Brandon (Lee) Griffin, Ryan Griffin, Eddie (Caprice) Moore, Jackie (Cleve) Weeks, Christine (Will) Stevenson, Sarah (Blake) Cook, and Bubba (Daisey) Griffin; and twenty two great grandchildren, Hunter, Bo, Creek, Kayleigh, Hatcher, Brooks, Lyla, Zelda, Ariel, Caroline, Zayne, Zeke, Eli, William, Cameron, Buck, Ellie, Emily, Wyatt, Lara Jane, Marilyn and Izzy.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Marilee Moore; one granddaughter, Nikki Griffin; his parents, Clarence and Annabelle Moore; and his siblings, Jim Moore, Shirley Wright, and Kay Emerson.
