David Jerry Phillips

Mr. Jerry David Phillips of Colquitt, GA, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Colquitt Alternative Care. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM, at Colquitt Methodist Church with Rev. Carrie Myers and Rev. Benjamin Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Colquitt City Cemetery with Jeremy Miller, Phillip Warren, Bill Lane, Brad Hambrie, Michael Middleton, and Joseph Lawhorn serving as active pallbearers. Members of the Paris and Spares Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour before the service, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. 

Mr. Phillips was a farmer and member of Colquitt Methodist Church. 

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mavis Gray Phillips of Colquitt, GA; five children, Jerry David (Kelly) Phillips, Jr of Bainbridge, GA, Darren (Sarah) Phillips of Columbus, GA, Joanna (Ricky) Bradford of Colquitt, GA, James Anthony (Chris) Phillips of King, NC, and Timothy Allen (Tiffany) Phillips of Colquitt, GA; ten grandchildren, Heather Phillips, Jerry David "Bo" (Hannah) Phillips III, Brooke Phillips, Annaleah Phillips, Grayson (Nick) Hunter, Lanie (Matthew) Green, Savana (Cory Lee) Bradford, Ryan (Scarlett) Phillips, BethAnne (Shelton) Pickle, and Jenna (Jackson) Fleet, six great-grandchildren, Jerry David Phillips IV, Benson Green, Bryn Pickle, Saylor Pickle, Cooley Fleet, and Remi Jo Fleet; and one sister, Virginia Warren of Colquitt, GA. Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Lannie Ingram Phillips. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Colquitt Methodist Church.
