Janelle Phillips Jones

Mrs. Janelle "Nell" Jones of Colquitt died Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Miller County Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Colquitt City Cemetery. No visitation will be held.

Mrs. Nell was a homemaker. She and her husband, Clifton Jones, lovingly fostered 45 children over the years in Miller County.

She is survived by two sons, Wayne (Lisa Rae) Jones of Brunswick, GA, and Paul (Elaine) Jones of McLeansville, NC; three grandchildren, Melissa Anne Jones, Marshall Casey (Sandy) Jones, and Katherine Cochran Jones; three great-grandchildren, Piper McKenzie Jones, Grayson Henrik Jones, and Bryce Harrison Jones; one nephew, John (Sandy) Boehm of McAfee, NJ; and special friends, Bruce (Debbie) Henry and Jim (Joley) Henry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Casey Jones; and her parents, Jesse Homer and Sally Phillips
