Kimberly Kelley Haywood

Kimberly Kelley Haywood of Colquitt, GA, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Piedmont Hospital in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Colquitt Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Kent Barwick officiating. Interment will follow in Kelley Cemetery with Travis Kelley, Matthew Cleveland, Jeremy Kelley, Scott Kelley, Zach Kelley, Samuel Sheffield, Matthew Brooks, William Brooks, Hayes Cleveland, Mandy Kelley Griffin, Shay Kelley, and Danielle Sheffield serving as pallbearers. A visitation will be held one hour before the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at Colquitt Free Will Baptist Church.

Kim retired from Miller County Hospital after 23 years and had recently returned to work part-time. She attended Colquitt Free Will Baptist Church. Kim loved with all of her heart. Her nieces and nephews were lovingly regarded as her own babies, and she didn't have "step-children" or "step-grandchildren"; she simply loved them as her own. She was a passionate and faithful Georgia Bulldog fan. Kim loved to travel, especially trips to the beach.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Jimmy "Bo" Haywood; son, Michael Haywood of Colquitt, GA; daughter, Melissa (Shep) Sheppard of Tallahassee, FL; four grandsons, Matthew (BreAnna) Cleveland, Seth Cleveland, Hayes Cleveland, and Ridge Haywood; three great-grandkids, Cadence Cleveland, Aurora Cleveland, and Caizyn Cleveland; three brothers, Kevin (Cindy) Kelley of Colquitt, GA, Danny (Nina) Kelley of Ochlocknee, GA, and Brian (Sherrie) Kelley of Colquitt, GA; one sister, Lee Anne (Danny) Sheffield of Colquitt, GA; seven nephews, Travis Kelley, Jeremy (Leah) Kelley, Scott (Kolbey) Kelley, Zach Kelley, Samuel Sheffield, Matthew (Marianna) Brooks, and William Brooks; three nieces, Mandy Kelley Griffin, Shay Kelley, and Danielle Sheffield; along with many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; one brother-in-law, Jimmy (Susan) Haywood; two sisters-in-law, Maxine Edwards and Abigail Richardson; and very special life-long friend, Sandy Stolze. She was preceded in death by one nephew, Brandon Kelley; and her parents, Marvin and Lenore Kelley.
