Rebecca graduated from Miller County High School before attending Troy University, where she proudly played her beloved trumpet in the Sound of the South Marching Band. Her spirited playing earned her the memorable nickname “The Squealer,” a title she carried with humor and pride. On May 30, 1971, Rebecca married the love of her life, Russell Nash. Together they built a marriage that spanned 51 years and was filled with commitment, partnership, and enduring love

Rebecca’s greatest joys were her family. She was a proud and devoted mother to her sons, Rusty and Rob, and nothing brought her more happiness than being “BecBec” to her cherished grandchildren, Taylor and Dakota. Her sisters, Angie and Deede, were her lifelong best friends who shared countless memories, laughter, and unwavering support
