Terry Taylor

Mr. Christie “Terry” Taylor of Colquitt Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the age of 83 years old. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Colquitt Methodist Church.

Terry was the oldest son of Christie Tarver Taylor and Tempe Mae Taylor. He moved to Texas in 1969 and returned to Colquitt in 2009 to marry his high school sweetheart Susan Grimsley-Taylor.

Terry created Taylor Realty Associates in the 1990s while in Texas and became a real estate broker in 7 different states including Georgia. Taylor Realty Associates still exists today by those that believed in Terry’s vision on how a Real Estate brokerage should run.

Terry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved Real Estate, loved to fish, and loved his Georgia Bulldog football.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Edward Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Susan, his sons Christopher and James, and his step-daughters, Kim Widner and Lari Hagan, his grandchildren, Max, Olivia, Katie, and Violet Taylor, and his step-grandchildren Colby Widner, Zach Hagan, and Hunter Hagan.
